Dr. Phil Show Features Center for Discovery Teen Treatment Program
Los Alamitos, CA (PRWEB) September 18, 2014
Center for Discovery, a leading residential treatment center for teens and adolescents with behavioral and substance abuse issues, is being featured on tomorrow’s episode of the Dr. Phil show, Friday, September 19, 2014. Center for Discovery is providing residential treatment services for a guest on the Dr. Phil show through its adolescent treatment program.
Friday’s episode of the Dr. Phil Show focuses on the turbulent relationship between a 14-year-old girl and her mother. The girl’s behavioral problems, which include fighting, running away, using drugs, and self-harming, began when her parents divorced when she was 11 years old. Her mother has custody and her father would like to be more involved. Dr. Phil talks with adolescent treatment expert and return guest, Dr. Matthew Polacheck of Center for Discovery. Together, they encourage the girl to enter residential treatment at Center for Discovery, while the mother undergoes intensive family therapy, also provided by Center for Discovery.
Mark Hobbins, President and COO of Center for Discovery, says “we are pleased to collaborate once again with the Dr. Phil Show and to be their treatment center of choice for struggling teens and their families.”
